Romans 12:2

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."

God delivered each and every one of us from our evil, sinful pasts already. Why then, do we continue to let ourselves be controlled by something or someone from which we have already been delivered? No matter our sins, how big or how small they may be, we were already forgiven for them. The past we could not control and this is why we were forgiven. Our past sins are DEAD to the world because He sacrificed himself for us and forgave us. Yet we still choose to continue on going back to that which is dead. The only problem now.... we are CHOOSING or LETTING ourselves go back to that place.

We need to let go or get rid of that around us or within us that is sinful. For some, this is harder than for others, but remember, "It is by God's grace we are saved!" It is worth the hardship you may have to endure to be saved by God. Remember when you are doubting anything; He died for us...for you. He loves/loved us that much.

You're a new creation now, stop playing with the past.

Everyone has yucky days.

So, I've had a series of "yucky" days lately. I was feeling sorry for myself today when I remembered something the pastor was saying last Sunday at church.

"There is a beginning and an end to everything. Good or bad."

So, my bad days can't last forever! I shouldn't be focusing on all the negative things anyway. What about all the wonderful things I have in my life? God, family, friends, boyfriend, job, music, etc. These things are the most important.

"Negative thoughts and attitudes block My flow of life and power." He doesn't want us to dwell on the negative, He wants us to focus on Him and what He can do for us and what we can do for Him.

"I gave to you the Holy Spirit to bring wonderful days to you.
Revel in His power, His glory, His intercession and you will see all things come to you that are full of peace and joy. Love, God"
Galatians 5:22

New Beginnings

What a glorious, magnificent day!

For sometime now, I have felt this lacking in my life. For a while, I couldn't figure out what it was. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks when I was going through the radio stations in my car one day when I stopped on the local Christian Radio station. I was missing God. My spirit didn't have a home. No matter what I did, I never felt fully fulfilled with my life. I was going to school, about to graduate, I had great friends and family and a wonderful significant other, but I still couldn't shake the feeling something was not right.

Staying on that radio station that day changed my life forever.

It took a while (over a year to be exact) for me to actually attend a worship. I was scared that I would be ostrasized for not being Godly enough at first...I was scared to go on my own because I had no one to go with... I had no time, etc., etc., etc.. Then it finally hit me this past Saturday, you make time for God, no one who is with the Lord will make fun of you, they will just be happy to see you there and I wasn't going to church alone...God was with me. He was sitting right beside me in that pew yesterday. I could feel him for the first time in my life.

I was raised Catholic and attended church every Sunday in my earlier years, but after that, I just fell away from it. I always found the Catholic sermons to be hard to understand. It was too straight out of the Bible for me I think. I needed something that I could relate to my own life. The way they talked about God and the Bible at this church was very easy to relate to my every day life. How exciting.

I cried in church...I actually cried because being there felt so good...so perfect. I told God I was sorry that I have been away for so long, but that I wanted him in my life now for good.

"Forever I will praise Him."

Today was a brighter day. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I think it's because God is happy with me. He is proud of me. He is showing me.

Yes.

"Forever I will praise Him."
